WOW hosts Peace boat at Kahumana Farms in Wai'anae Valley

35 passengers of the Peace boat from Japan were hosted at the Kahumana Organic farms setting in beautiful Wai'anae Valley. During the day, the Women of Wai'anae shared lei making, hula dancing, hawaiian quilting and the beautiful sounds of the "singing bowls". In return, the Japanese guests offered lessons in Japanese writing and origami. The event culminated in everyone sitting down at the table to enjoy a traditional hawaiian meal. The cultural exchange was a huge success for all that attended and helped to build connections to raise awareness for global peace and human rights.
