For Wai'anae Coast Nontraditional Students

Our yearly goal is to provide 10 or more scholarships to nontraditional students on the Wai'anae Coast.  Depending on the amount of money the organization raises throughout the year, the scholarships vary in number and amount.  We offer three different types of scholarships.

2012 Grand Winner

I just wanted to say without the help of Women of Wai'anae I would not have graduated with an Associates degree in Early Childhood Education from Honolulu Community College in May of 2014.  I am currently the Teacher/Director at Keiki O Ka Aina Preschool and Infant and

Toddler Center at the Ka Pua Site.  The kokua from WOW has encouraged, inspired and catapulted me to a level of understanding regarding, 'It takes a village to raise a family'. This concept is what WOW embraces and exemplifies in our Wai'anae kaiaulu!  Deep in my na'au I know this value is what is displayed in me as I service the families of the Wai'anae Coast and this is what WOW has taught me - to pass it down and raise up more ohana in our village of Wai'anae.
